My New Work Crush

I figure that the only way to follow-up my previous lovey-dovey, vomit-inducing post about Grace is to give you people what you’re used to seeing here at Blank Stares and Blank Pages, namely something about libraries, objectifying random hotties and/or zombies.

This entry hits two of those common themes.

You see, there’s this poster for the “Knovel University Challenge.”

The poster is pimping the contest and the fact that students can win an iPad, cash or a bunch of other prizes.

What is Knovel, you ask?! Well, to be honest, I don’t really know the ins-and-outs of it all, but I know that it’s a resource I point people to on occasion that houses online editions of various science and engineering books.

Here’s the fancy-schmancy rundown from the Knovel website:

“Knovel is a web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools to drive innovation and deliver answers engineers can trust.”

Why I told you all of that is beyond me, the real focus of this entry is the poster seen here (less blurry version from another university here):

You see where this is going, right?

The redhead.

I don’t know why, but I’m totally crushing on her.

It started innocently enough. I hung up the poster and thought, huh…well she’s kinda cute.

…and it’s only progressed to the point where I now find myself winking at the poster every time I walk by it.

That’s totally healthy, right? I mean, I do the same thing with the Taylor Swift poster in my office and that’s not weird.

…right?!

Anyway, I figured that since I’ve got a little thing for redheads this is totally legit and in no way a sign of a dude who should see a shrink.

Now, in an effort to boost my random Google hits for the week, here’s a smattering of photos of some of the redheads who have resulted in the aforementioned thing for redheads, enjoy:

Jenna Fischer (ie: Pam Beesley-Halpert)

Amy Adams

Alyson Hannigan

Emma Stone

Linday Lohan (...but ONLY in the "Mean Girls" era)

Jenna Fischer (yep, if you're playing baseball you get a 2nd entry)

  1. I think it’s the eyes and the hardware.

  2. Ok, the weird thing about drooling over the Knovel poster is that every time I see that thing, I think – that girl looks just like a teenage (underage) Bethanie. So that is a little freaky…

    • …I think it’s in everyone’s best interest if we agree the gal on the poster is at least 18…that seems fair, right?!
