#librarylife

I’ve raved about the awesomeness of many comics here lately and I’d be remiss if I didn’t give a big shout-out to the fine folks over at Unshelved.

I’ve given the rundown before, but for those not in the know, Unshelved is—in the briefest explanation I can give—a comic strip about a library.

The general premise of the strip is that library staff interact with an array of all-too-real characters and go through many of the same situations that real-life library peeps have dealt with, including today’s strip which is almost word-for-word a situation I encountered a few weeks back.

When I decided to start using the “#librarylife” series to share stories that don’t warrant full-on, lengthy posts, I failed to realize how many bajillions of tiny, seemingly innocuous, yet totally blog-worthy interactions I have in an average day.

As such, I’m going to try and make it a point to post more of these #librarylife snippets and perhaps go back and post some from the past that never made it onto the blog.

That having been said, let’s get back to todays’ entry over at Unshelved. The only back story needed (and this only applies to those of you who don’t know me) is that I wear a hat all the time, like, literally…all day, every day.

Anyway, without any further ado, here is today’s comic:

  1. I like this idea a lot. Your library experiences tend to pretty humorous and I enjoy the little back story before them. If I had one suggestion, I would say create a word for “library crazies”. Maybe something like librazies or zombraries. Something witty could bring me into it a little bit, like we have our own lingo, the author and I. Just something I’ve been thinking about lately that I thought I’d share.
