Finding My Religion

My Faithful Readers, I come to you today with a major announcement.

I have found religion.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve been down with the G-O-D for years and all that jazz, but I’ve never really been what you’d call a “religious” person.

I don’t really like to talk about religion. I don’t go to church on a regular basis.

For the most part religion has always sorta lurked in the background, but never really played a major role in my life.

That all changed this afternoon.

You see, it was just today that I discovered the gospel of the Gotham Street Preacher.

His teachings are in the name of my new religion, Batmanism.

Here’s a video of the Gotham Street Preacher spreading the good word of Batmanism in Birmingham, England:

Try to tell me you’re not ready to convert right now. You can’t do it can you?!

It’s pretty obvious that this dude is totally on the money with his gospel, right?!

I mean seriously…

“Obey the Keaton, the Kilmer and the Holy Bale. They are the true prophets. Do not believe in Clooney, for he is a false prophet!”

…have truer words ever been spoken?

I think not.

Sure, sure…this dude may be completely off his rocker, but I think he’s definitely on to something big here.

Plus the cowl and white collar look is pretty freakin’ sweet.

This is a religion that I can totally get down with and I think it’s safe to consider me a convert.

That’s right, I am a Batmanist.

Now who is coming with me?!

  1. I’m a sucker for the English accent…so I guess I’m a convert! My husband, who has a Superman tattoo on his upper right arm, probably won’t, I’m afraid! 😉
